About
Project HEAR (Healthcare, Education, and Advocacy for Refugees) is a team of youth activists with a passion for healthcare and service, who come together to promote health equity amongst refugees and asylum-seekers at the community level through novel approaches. Project HEAR seeks to reduce healthcare disparities and inequities within the refugee community through a three pronged approach: healthcare, education, and advocacy. All of these opportunities are free of cost, voluntary, and confidential. Examples of services that we provide include developing a mobile app designed around refugee health, conducting interactive and engaging workshops on injury prevention, breastfeed counseling, mental health, among many others.
