About Company
Glencoe Folk Museum is a Other located at Glencoe, Ballachulish PH49 4HS, United Kingdom.
Please note we are now closed for winter. We will reopen in April 2023. Housed within two 18th century, traditionally thatched croft cottages, Glencoe Folk Museum charts the unique history of the local area - from the carving of the Ballachulish Goddess in 600BCE to the opening of the Ballachulish Bridge in 1975, from Jacobite uprisings to World Wars. Step inside a MacDonald cottage on the night of the infamous Massacre of Glencoe, dress up as a Jacobite and practice your Highland Charge or simply let our objects transport you to the past. We also have a small gift shop crammed full of fantastic souvenirs, many made right here in Glencoe by local sellers. Follow us on social media for more!
