Automatic cars are the future, and learning to drive in an automatic car will save you time and money with fewer lessons than in a manual car (you will be ready for your test much sooner in an automatic).

I have been a Driving Instructor for 10 years teaching in both manual and automatic cars. I realised that the benefit for pupils learning in automatic cars is the ability to spend far more time on the road. This gives learner driver more actual driving experience and helps to develop a better understanding and awareness of the road leading to better control of the car and overall becoming a safer road user.
