About Company
Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Centre, Kagyu Samye Dzong Dublin is a Buddhist temple located at 56 Inchicore Rd, Kilmainham, Dublin 8, D08 CD88, Ireland.
Kagyu Samye Dzong is a Dublin-based Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Centre, founded in 1977, the oldest established Buddhist Centre in Ireland, and is part of the Karma Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Our Spiritual Director is His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, Orgyen Trinley Dorge. Our Founder and Director, Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche, first brought Tibetan Buddhism to the West in 1963 and he subsequently founded, with Chogyam Trungpa, Kagyu Samye Ling Monastery in Scotland, the first Tibetan Buddhist Monastery in the West. The Centre is run by a dedicated group of volunteers under the guidance and direction of Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche and our Abbott, Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche.
