Piritahi Hau Ora is a marae-based Primary Health Care clinic on Waiheke Island. In 1996, Piritahi Hau Ora began as a small clinic working out of Piritahi Marae in Blackpool, Waiheke. The service was developed to deliver a kaupapa Maori model service to meet the needs of a rural remote population. Its vision and aim is to provide affordable quality health care with wrap-around social support services, in a holistic approach to supporting the community of Waiheke Island. All of our services are provided based on the Maori model of Health and Wellbeing, or Te Whare Tapa Wha.
