Mariachi Nuevo Capistrano was founded in September of 2015 in the city of San Juan Capistrano. The group consists of 6 local young Musicians ranging in age from 23 to 28. The musicians from the group started and learned from a local community Mariachi program. The program later came to an end and the young musicians decided they did not want to stop playing and wanted to continue playing the beautiful music and representing the lovely culture that they had fallen in love with. The students continued to practice together as a small group which later grew into Mariachi Nuevo Capistrano. With the support from their community, Mariachi Nuevo Capistrano has had the privilege and opportunity of performing in front of thousands of people.
