Established in 2009, it is licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The university has six colleges: the College of Engineering, the College of Science, the College of Law, the College of Education, the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences, and the College of Pharmacy. Currently, there are over 3000 students enrolled at the university, which has the capacity to accommodate up to 5000 students.
