Situated in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, in memory of the late Col. Adekunle Fajuyi, the former military governor of the Western region who was killed along with General Aguiyi Ironsi during the first military coup in Nigeria, the Park is home to the final resting place of the late soldier. Tourists who are interested in researching Fajuyi’s heroic exploits and the events leading to the civil war in Nigerian history always find their way to the place. The Park is equipped with a fountain, game archade, children playground, mini-museum/archival centre, restaurant/bar and GSM telephone booths for visitors and tourists.
