deSingel is an impressive architectural ensemble on the outskirts of Antwerp, designed with love and respect for the arts by Léon Stynen (1899-1990) and Stéphane Beel (1955). Thanks to their brilliant architecture, a grand scale can here be combined with experimentation, in the fields of music, theatre, dance and architecture, in performances, concerts and exhibitions, and in arts education and research. deSingel is both a home for the contemporary, critical and interdisciplinary canon and a breeding ground for artistic creation, and new trends and insights.
