Cedar Lodge Cattery is based at the home of John and Tania Reardon. Their home has been in John’s family for generations, but John started breeding horses in the 1990’s and kept horses at Cedar Lodge from 1998. All animals are part of the family. John’s extended family are also heavily involved with the lives of the pets at Cedar Lodge; one of John’s nieces, Fiona, is a vet, specialising in small animals, having accumulated work experience with Clare Meade of The Cat Hospital in Glanmire, Co. Cork. Another of John’s nieces, Lisa, has worked as a Veterinary Nurse and is now working in a large pet-product retailer while continuing further education.Both Fiona and Lisa will make up part of the team at Cedar Lodge.
