Ballintubbert Gardens and House is a Georgian manor nestled in 14 acres of organic ornamental gardens. The estate has a wonderful literary and theatrical history. It is the birthplace of poet laureate Cecil Day Lewis, the home of Sebastian Shaw better known as Darth Vader and the home of Sir John Hurt the acclaimed English actor. We offer guests a wonderful exclusive stay in our home, a perfect base for touring Ireland. We also offer garden and wellbeing experiences such as foraging, herbal medicine and yoga retreats. We specialise in Corporate Retreats based in nature. If you are looking for a festival style wedding we are the perfect choice. The gardens are open by appointment only or on designated Open Days only.
