About

Historic New Bridge Landing, located in the heart of Bergen County, and has a compelling and complex story, from the Native American to colonial to a strategic crossing throughout the American Revolutionary War. The Bergen County Historical Society (BCHS) was invited to make its HQ here by NJ in 1939. We began our artifact collection at our founding in 1902. BCHS, a 501c3 non-profit, all-volunteer org, provides all programming and opens the site regularly for events. Take the 12-step QR code History Challenge. Five new interpretive signs are available for visitors. The grounds are open dawn to dusk. Scheduled events are listed on our website. Only 5.6 miles from the George Washington Bridge
